Our vision statement is as follows:
As a voluntary aided Church of England Primary School, we aim to provide an education of the highest quality for all of our children, established upon Christian beliefs and values. Our ethos is to value and nurture each child and adult, as a unique creation of God. By encouraging and supporting them to become the best they can be, we will instil within them an excitement and confidence to embark upon future challenges as life-long learners, and equip them with the skills and attributes to enable them to lead happy, healthy, fulfilling lives and make a positive contribution to society both locally and globally.
and this is underpinned by our Biblical statement:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. And love your neighbour as you love yourself.”
Matthew 22: 37 – 39
Our school values, which underpin our school Christian ethos are:
Love Courage Reverence
Our school is a caring Christian Community firmly founded on the Christian values of love, courage and reverence. We reflect these values in the day to day running of the school, in all aspects of the curriculum and in every area of our school life.
All members of the school community are supported to become confident, independent learners, respectful of themselves and everyone around them, and to take increasing responsibility for being the very best they can be in all areas of life and learning. These qualities are commended in our weekly celebration worship.
It is our aim that children are encouraged and challenged to develop to their true potential in a vibrant and exciting learning environment. Our vision is to develop an enthusiasm for learning and a desire for excellence to enable the whole school community to achieve their best.
