Maths 

Every pupil from Robins to Hawks follows the White Rose scheme of learning, which is based on the National Curriculum. Lessons may be personalised to address the individual needs and requirements for a class, but coverage is maintained. Please click here to see Kites maths yearly overview.

Our pupils also have access to Time Tables Rockstars, to help develop their multiplication skills.

How can you help with maths at home?

You can help your child at home by supporting their use of times table practise, number bond work and taking advantage of maths in the real world, e.g. telling the time, or getting your child to handle money when purchasing things, calculating the change they will receive.

Foundation Subjects and Science 

A broad and balanced curriculum provides children with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to develop into well-rounded, informed individuals. Our curriculum includes the core subjects of English, Maths, Science and foundation subjects which are Art, DT, PSHE/RSE, RE, MfL (Spanish), Geography, History, PE, Music and Computing.

To ensure the full coverage of the National Curriculum, there are clear class overviews, as well as progression documents for each subject, which build and develop an appropriate and relevant sequence of knowledge and key skills, as pupils move through the school. Where it is beneficial and deepens connections, there are meaningful links made between subjects.
